Problem: Our dreams can be strange, inspiring, scary and uplifting. But they can hold powerful insights about the subconscious through illustrations of deep metaphors. Analyzing our dreams can increase self-awareness and self-healing in ways that we might overlook in our everyday waking states.
Solution: I wanted to build an app that allows people to record their dreams in an illustrative and meaningful way.
For creative inspiration, nostalgia’s sake, personal growth, or all of the above, Dream Tracer is a tool that will
help users tap into their subconscious by archiving their dream experiences in a creative fashion.
→ Dream Tracer is made for those people who find inspiration in their dream experiences. Posts can be made with dream keywords, which act like hashtags. And there's a creative twist.
User Flow A - Create a Dream Post
→ When a user submits a dream entry, the keywords are programmed to select and store a "dream card" for the user.
It's a bit like a gamification system in the form of tarot-like cards that connect similar dreams together.
User Flow B - View a Dream Card to see what dreams are associated with it
User Flow C - Learn how many times you dreamed of a sunset
→ Dream Tracer can also serve as a dream dictionary, while recording the # of times the keywords have been dreamt, or recorded.
